What I Missed Out On!

Last weekend while I was sewing up a storm, Joe went backpacking with Tom and Andrew in the Shenandoah Mountains of Virginia. Joe took a lot of pictures. You can see beautiful images of the Shenandoah area lots of places. But here is the only place you can see these pictures!

Joe and Tom, the mountainmen.

One of those "makes one proud to be a mom" shots of grubby Tom.
Andrew forms a new relationship . . .

. . . that doesn't go well (Yes, that's blood!)
And to think I spent my time fondling fabric, sewing and laughing with other quilters, visiting with Honna, and having Bonnie serve me a delicious dinner! What I missed out on!

As one of the "mountain men", I am not sure we would have wanted her along.

What a pity... and to think, if you'd gone along you could have cooked and camped out and become grubby too. Why is it that we women never have any fun? Oh, to be a man!
Did that snake bite him? I wouldn't be posing with it! Tracey

Nancy - I was looking for your email address and didn't find it. While not ordained, I'm an involved 60-ish Congregationalist. With some trepedation, I wanted to share some of what's "up" in our world in Seattle.

How unfortunate for you. While the guys were out roughing it, you were taking your life in your on hands handling sharp needles, tangly threads, weilding a rotary cutter, etc. LOL Now who had more fun?

Wow! Look at the courage in that man! Picking up the snake that bit him! He must really be an animal lover! (Or did he catch it an roast it?)
I love the picture of Tom!
