One Done, Four to Go!

Meadowbrook Pasture is now a full-fledged flimsy! Not the best picture ever, but I'm not ready to ask Joe to put up the outside line for a quality photo at this point. Click to enlarge. Moving right along . . . .

Your quilts are so beautiful. I love seeing the pictures of every one of them. Our family used to have a quilt that was made by my paternal great-grandmother, but I don't know what ever happened to it or what pattern it was. Doubtless Guenveur has it around the house somewhere, but it's terribly fragile with age, naturally, and could probably use a lot of restoration. I remember a few times being wrapped in it when I was sick as a child and it always had this great sort of ancient smell to it. I also remember my mom having a crazy quilt around somewhere, but where it went, I don't have a clue. Oh, and I LOVE the one you made for her. Just gorgeous! You do beautiful work, Nancy. What a talent!

Oh, and by the way, I have noticed at the library where I work a burgeoning number of series novels revolving around quilting themes. Wonder if you've read any of them?
Nancy, wow, very, very nice congrtulations you have done a fantastic job.

I'm so glad you posted a picture of this, from your previous post I was eager to see what you had done (and I like it better than the original.) As always, love your color choices!

Congratulations on getting one of your quits done. Love the block pattern.

Love and hugs Gina xx
I absolutely love the scrappy sashing and cornerstones. I don't even care to remember what the original was going to look like, this is sooo much better!

Your quilt is lovely :0). I've just been doing some catching up and was so sorry to hear about Joe and the stress you've been under. Hang in there -- Julian of Norwich (sp?) has always been one of my favorites as well (and yes, I'm pretty sure she was more than a bit crazy) and that mantra has gotten me through many a night.

OK, now I see what I did wrong. I put the blocks together without a lattice separating them. Duh. What a bone head I am. No wonder I hated it. Back to the drawing board.
Thank goodness I have you to guide me!
