All Good?

Recently various sites on the internet have posted lists of annoying comments, cliches, remarks. "At the end of the day" is detested by many, many people. Countless folks no longer wish to do anything at all "outside the box." "To be honest" has worn us all out.

But thus far I've not seen anyone rant about the one that is currently driving me crazy: "It's all good." WHAT is all good?

Much is not good.

Yes, life is good. And many other things are good. And there are those who have an amazing (if sometimes unrealistic) ability to find something good in a terrible situation.

But, friends, I'm here to tell you: It is not all good. It is not. Do not tell me that it is.

On another front, this is post #599 for me. And that is good. Warrants something special for the next one, don't you think? A give-away of some sort, I do believe. Stay tuned for details in post #600, soon to be published!

I very much agree. Much is not good and while we don't need to wallow, we do need to keep our eyes and hearts open. The one that I don't understand is "It is what it is" - what DOES that mean?

Yeah, you know "its all good" needs to fine tuning. Just like "two minutes."

I mean, is that true when its used in regular conversation? "Its all good man. Give me two minutes and I'll get back with ya." Its never two minutes! How much is that anyway?

One thing's for sure your blog - "It's all good". The phrase that I despise is: "ASAP!" I'd prefer that to be written "as soon as possible". To me the written phrase is more polite.

I do tend to be an eternal optimist, but I do well understand your point here. Without hesitation my least favorite phrase is "it is what it is"... that does drive me nuts!

I feel the same way about that statement!!! It's all good...no that one small miniscule part may be good, but it is not ALL good. I do understand what the young kids mean by it though...at least done here, it means..."they" are okay with whatever is going on...it coulbe disappointment but to say "it's all good" is like saying that's okay.

I can not stand the phrase, "Whatever"...it drives me crazy.

I have not heard that expression. How about 24/7 and "Lonf story short"?
