I'm a 1st & 2nd generation American (Dad was from Austria; Mom's folks were from Ireland). I was brought up to be proud of the USA. I have never been more proud than I am today. This young man has an enormous task in front of him, but I believe God is giving our nation a chance to continue to do the right thing and Obama needs our continued support and prayers. I'm so proud of NH, normally a Republican state. I'm so proud of our nation-the number of people who voted in total and the number of people who got beyond race to elect a leader. Three cheers for the Red, White & Blue!

I am in awe that my optimism as an American - gone for 8 long years - returned within minutes of my President-Elect beginning his speech. I am so grateful to all of you who pounded the pavement to elect this man. So grateful.

Yes, we will!
Yay! Every time I heard or saw an election update on the news, I'd think of you. I am so glad and happy for the US.
