Sick Again

I've been quiet so long because I'm sick again. And at this point, I'm cranky about it. I started with a cold November 1 and the cough lingered into the last week in February. Interspersed with a 3-1/2 day bout early in February with the vomit plague. Early last week it seemed as though I was finally feeling okay. But Himself got a cold, and close family that we are, now I have it too. Started on Friday night with coughing and congestion and as of last night it involves spells of too hot vs. too cold, runny nose, sneezing, and, of course, the cough.

In the total scheme of things, it's a cold. It's not cancer. It's not tuberculosis. It's not any number of other dreadful diseases. It's a cold. Another cold. With another cough. It's been a trying winter for me, healthwise. And I'm feeling a tad discouraged.

'Nuff said.

Hi Nancy,

So sorry you are sick again.

I hope this one is short lived and you can back to a regular life!

Love the illustration.

I'm sorry your sick friend. I am however glad to hear from you. I was planning to leave a pesky note asking Where Are You but no need. Now I know.

Such a bummer to be sick. I know it. I'll try to whip up some of Gma's famous soup for ya. I'll be there around 11:45. Watch for me.

So sorry to hear that you're under the weather again, we just need to turn that corner into Spring (for real!) and throw those windows open so that all the yuck can blow away. Sending you hugs for healing...

Hello, I found you through Bonnie's website and enjoy you and all the other ladies from there as well.

My son in law swears by putting freshly grated ginger in a pot of water and simmering it for a few minutes. You can add a tea bag too if you like. Then you strain it. It is kind of natural and with a bit of honey, quite soothing. Wishing you health. Liz
Well, this just sucks! I know that some people who work with children get a lot of colds, but I shouldn't think there'd be lot germ bearing breasthing going on in your office. Are you getting enough vitamin D? Could you wear a mask? It may not be a dreadful disease, but you've definitely had enough of this stuff.

Oh man Nancy this is just not fair...but of course nothing about the plagues of this year are fair! Just hoping you get well, and can think S P R I N G...it can't be too much longer!

A pharmacist friend just told me today (because we have so many sick school kids)she vows this will work..."put Vicks on the bottoms of your feet, pull on socks and go to bed" it will clear up that stuffy head, sore throat and achy thing that is running crazy thru the area...makes one go hmmmm when it comes from a pharmacist!
Hey Nancily....sorry you're not feeling well again. Sure hope you're up and better soon.

Hey Nancy, I saw that you were contacted by a Mark Casem who is apparently a comcast rep. He seems to have a lot of posts on the internet and it hard to tell if he is the real deal or just one trying to get your account into. Did you try to go though him for any help? This is an email address I use for insecure messages. Please let me know how your exp was with him. Thank you! poetdemise86@gmail.com

Nancy, I understand exactly where you're at! I too had the 5-week cold starting at Xmas, and then I got it again (but a little different this time) last week. GRRR. Go for that tea with lemon and honey cure... and maybe a splash of brandy, too. Hope you're better soon. (word: ention -- is that like a missed intention?)
