900

I don't know how this got away from me.  A little while back I noticed I was at Post Number 888 and thought, "any day now."

Well, it was yesterday.  My "Slow" post was my 900th.  And I didn't notice until this morning.

So let the celebration begin!

Leave a comment, telling me what makes you visit my blog.  One day early next week I'll draw a name for an as-yet-undetermined giveaway.

I hope I pick you!

Congratulations Nancy!

I visit your blog for inspiration and education when it comes to quilting. It's something I really want to get back to doing, and seeing your work motivates me and inches me closer to an actual project!

I also enjoy your sense of humor, as well as getting to know you!

I love your blog! but why? Well the fact that you are a quilter is very important but I strongly suspect I'd read even if you weren't a fellow quilter so I guess that isn't what makes me visit anymore. What makes me visit is that you are a 'thoughtful' woman - that's thoughtful as in full of thoughts. You so often give me something for my mind to chew on. Thank you for that.

I first visited your blog for the quilting. Then came the inspiration and thought provoking comments. Plus I enjoy following the other blogs that you follow, so I click on them from here. I really enjoy your blog. Thanks for sharing with us. cindy

Good for you Nancy. I first started to visit as I am "In Philadlephia" rather than Near so I was interested to see what you had to say. I keep coming back to see your work and what you may have found and I have to admit, I share alot of your same feelings on many subjects.
You inspire me to keep on going with my sewing.

I visit because you write thoughtfully and well, your posts share your heart, and the blog offers a wonderful balance of quilting and life. Congrats on 900!

I read you because you don't limit your posts to one idea...or thought...or discussion.
I love to see what you are working on, but also like the perspective you give on other ideas.

Congratulations! I read your blog because I enjoy your sense of humor as well as common sense approach to life. Plus your quilts are beautiful.

I read your blog beacuse you are a fellow C.O.W., and we quilting C.O.W.s need to stick together.

Seriously? Your posts are always interesting, many times thought provoking, and written with humor. You have kick-a** recommended links that have led me to unexpected places and friends.
And you are a very nice person.

900 posts? Wow. That's awesome.

Congratulations, Nancy -- and how did you get so far ahead of me blog-wise? I visit because you always have something interesting to say, whether its quilty, political or personal -- and I consider you a good friend even though we're still "virtual"!
I enjoy your blog for the quilting but also the "other" stuff. Most of the time I have the opposite view as you, but I love how you word things in a way that makes me think. I say that anyone who has a good reason behind their belief and can actually have some meat behind it...well, it's worth hearing. Oh...and you're really talented too and I enjoy the quilting :)

Congratulations, Nancy! I love the quilts you make. They are almost always something I would choose. I enjoy your posts very much.

In addition to the quilting, I was hooked when I read your politics! We're the same age and although I have no grandchildren(I'm so jealous), we've had many similar experiences. You're a better person than I am but you inspire me to be better. Thanks for writing; I begin my day with you.

Why do I love your blog? Let me count the ways!

I think the bottom line is that you make me think, whether it's about a new quilting project, or a book/film/piece of music I'm not familiar with or a moral conundrum, or....

You have an enviable writing style, and a real gift for controlling the pace of your reader. If I hadn't already met you, I'd feel I know you through your writing.

I'm not sure how I first came upon your blog, but I was hooked right from the start. I read because you have interesting and thought-provoking things to say. I don't always agree with you, but I always take away something to think about. For instance, I'm still thinking about what I would do in the case of the box that your circle at church was sending to the young woman. And since I'm also "near Philadelphia", it's fun to read about your occasional shop visits and the local places you go.
Liz said…
wow, 900 posts, pretty amazing. I feel fortunate that my friend Bobbie in Texas led me to you - you are a wise woman, one who makes me stop and think, especially before rushing headlong into a remark or some action....thanks for that !! And I've learned some lovely travel tips from you too. I wish I lived closer to Near Philadelphia, so that I could treat you to coffee and a chat every so often, it would be good for my soul I think.

Because you gave me Phily references? Your political views? (Yes, on both accounts anyway)...

No, seriously, I read every post you post. You're complex but uncomplicated. You're smart as a whip, but never make me feel like I know less than you.

Creative, talented, and someone I wish was my neighbor!

I love YOU about your blog, but also you make such a variety of quilts. Some have a modern feel and others have an old fashioned feel. I never know what I'll find!!
And some days I can get a good laugh over your politics. I like to know what "the other side" thinks.:)

sorry Nancy - the spelling gremlins have crept into my head - whoever spells provocation with a 'k'? - old age and poverty is obviously taking its toll :o)
my reason for comming back is your happy disposition and your fairly liberal views and your quilts just make me smile.

I visit your blog for a few reasons.
You live in the northeast as I do, I like your style of quilting and because I find your blog to be well thought out. Your writing to me has a real gentleness about it. Even when you wrote about a catalog order you were having problems with you did it in a very thoughtful way. I do look forward to reading your blog because of all these reasons.

Nancy, I come to your blog for a variety of reasons. I'm a beginning quilter, a teacher, and mother of a student in Philadelphia. I even know someone who attended a wedding with you last summer--talk about a very small world. I really enjoy your point of view as well as your quilts. =)
