Six Oaks?

Twelve Oaks, the name I've pretty much decided to go with, is one strip shy of half put together.  So, would that be Six Oaks?

Sorry.

As you can see, it is too big for my design wall, so I'm putting it together randomly, pairing up nine-patch blocks and plain squares and then pairing up the pairs, until I have the length row I need.  Then sewing the rows together without knowing how the blocks will fall. The  longest row completed is ten nine-patch blocks long; the center row will be eleven.

I threw in the shoo fly block for interest.  Might do a churn dash later on, but not sure about that.  The shorter rows are a lot of fun to put together.  The longer ones, not so much.  But I'm liking this quilt and today, when the high was 100 degrees and the heat index even higher, it was nice to imagine needing Twelve Oaks to sleep under in another four or five months!

I love this!! Was this a pattern?
Doesn't look like I would need one though since it's 9 patches and squares...

I wanted to add that I love the colors and had to really search to find the churn dash...lol

I saw the churn dash right away! The little bit of "different" adds a touch of whimsy that really appeals to me.

Oh, I really like your Twelve Oaks AND your Bills Baskets, but maybe you don't really NEED two quilts and want to send one of them to ME?! LOL! I was just at our Jo's Little Women's Club meeting tonight and this month's project looks quite a lot like Twelve Oaks, I think. Yep, maybe I need to make one of these--and I really like your addition of the shoo fly block.

Oh I am so in love with this quilt, drooling on my keyboard as I lean close to my monitor and look at every inch of it! The name can be whatever you wish to call it, because it is gorgeous even without the name! Love it, yes I do!
