Quilt with Feet and Kids Without

Here's Argyle, Anyone? all finished.  I really like how this quilt turned out.  My long-armer used a variegated thread that seemed to include all of the colors in the quilt.

I'm thinking it would be interesting to make this pattern again, but asymmetric -- you know, with the center square not in the center?  I think that would be very interesting.

It's not a big quilt, just enough to pull up on a chilly evening.  Which we will have again.  Someday.

Sherry and her family went to visit Andrew and his family a couple of months ago and somebody snapped this photo and sent it to me.  It's great of Sam and Caroline and less so of Eli and Woofie.  It's hard, you know, to get that many folks to sit still and look at the camera.

Sherry pointed out recently, "Caroline sure lucked out in the hair department."  I agree.

I love your Argyle Anyone? It is so much more interesting than my plain old double 4 patch quits. I may have to do this one someday too.

I love the quilting pattern and the thread that Mary Ellen chose. She has a gift for that -- just as you have a gift for putting stunning fabrics together. Your quilt holder ain't half bad either.

YUM. I am a big fan of anything with purple or turquoise in it and I love this pattern. I also like Quilts With Feet.

Your wagonful of grands is the BEST!

bold and gorgeous colors. You could ring a lot of different changes on the overall argyle pattern leaving the irish chain idea intact. It's a winner.

When I first saw this quilt in the works, I just knew I was going to have to make one as well. I hope you don't mind. I think it came out wonderfully in black/white/red. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

Love your quilt. I have a big drawer full of batiks, waiting for the perfect pattern. I think I'll use them for something like this.
