A few weeks ago, Pat gave me some solids -- there are about a half a dozen purples and a half a dozen pinks. I'm thinking they will be the beginnings of some sort of a quilt made with this block design. I don't know what the block is called; it looks to me like a Pinwheel of Geese.
I don't have any plans for this project beyond getting going on it, no recipient in mind, nothing. But I just love the block and really want to do something about that.

I saw this quilt on Pinterest and was immediately smitten with it. It's a lovely photograph of it, too. For a while I wondered if there was a pattern for it, and then all at once it dawned on me that it is simply HSTs set on point.
I'd like to make a quilt of this design this year using scraps of William Morris fabric.

Speaking of Bill, here's Barbara Brackman's "Morris and Company," that had been on my wish list for Christmas this year. I didn't receive it (although I did receive some other Barbara Brackman fabric that is really beautiful) so I ordered the FQ stack.
Two sweet people I know are getting married in 2012 and they are definitely William Morris people. I'm going to use Morris and Company for a back-of-the-sofa quilt for them. All that is undecided is the pattern and the background. Of course I'm leaning towards baskets, perhaps the glorious ones that Piecemeal designed that I don't seem able to get enough of.
