Julie Says More

Thirty-six blocks done and laid out, but not yet sewn together. I'm liking this very, very much.

Each block is made out of scraps from my recent brights adventure. The light part is text fabric. The darks are various blurry blacks. The blocks finish at 9" and I foresee a nice black border. I think that you can enlarge the picture by clicking on it.

This has been a satisfying project.

Glad to see a new post from you, Nancy. (But, oh, what a great trip you had!) I like the colorful blocks. The "blurry blacks" provide visual interest. Julie's improvisations are inspiration indeed.

Really, REALLY like this -- the liberated attitude, the colors, the text prints, and that you are liking the process. What a win win win situation!
