Zoo: Getting Started

When I saw my favorite son-in-law last weekend, he asked me to make a baby quilt for a little boy who is expected to arrive this summer. The parents are Chris and Sherry's newish next-door neighbors.  "I think animals would be good," was added to the request.

I looked at my stash and found I had about ten different animal prints. My hand-sewing group was meeting on Tuesday so I put out a request for assistance. They came through, of course. Today I cut twenty-five different center squares and some of the geese parts and corner bits and got these first two assembled.

Stay tuned, there will be more. About twenty-three more.

Baby quilts are so much fun, adding in fabric from friends is the best! Village baby quilts!

Variable stars are just right to highlight a variety of novelty prints. Are all the star points going to be gold?
