Baby Baby Baby

Some baby quilts were finished recently.

This one was made with snippets of hand-dyes. I love this quilt. My local machinist quilted it.

This one was made with blocks that we swapped out at our retreat a year ago. I had fifteen blocks from the swap and made five more. They only finish at 5" so I needed pretty many (and a generous border!) to make a little quilt.

This project came so close to being discarded. I'd made a handful of blocks and didn't think they went together. The orange was distracting. Himself came by, took a look at them, and rearranged so that the orange became a streak. Then I knew how many more of the green and purples I'd need. Turned out very well, I thought.

Himself is inordinately helpful, given his feelings about showing orange in public.

Himself has a good eye! These are all wonderful, Nancy; lucky babies!

You and Himself are such a great pair in the studio -- I love that he shares his perspective!

That's a lot of beautiful finished baby quilts in one post! Each so different yet each so precious.

Lots of inspiration here. Babies will play on them and folk get to play when making them.
