Duck, Duck, Goose!

After striking out, goose-wise, on our little junket to Black Water last week, we learned that the guests of honor were hanging out at Middle Creek, about an hour and a half from Near Philadelphia. So one day this week, we headed out to check on them. They were there. 56,000 strong.

And there were also [at least] seven nine swans a-swimming.

Glad you found those beautiful but elusive birds . . . and thanks for sharing photos. I have yet to see them en masse other than in videos or still photos. Someday.

How incredible to see those 56,100 geese and a few swans. So glad you persevered and found them so close to your home!

If you have access to the book "Make Room for Quilts" by Nancy Martin, 1994, on pages 54-61 there are lovely quilts of trumpeter swans, sand pipers, and other nature scenes that might inspire a goose quilt in your future. Or not!

Hugs!
what a sight that would be..........thankyou for sharing
