Sixteen, Seventeen, Eighteen!

The large print in this block was part of the starter pack that I bought. I wasn't crazy about it, but since Treehouse suggested large prints be used for many of the big corner pieces, I decided to go ahead and use it.

I'm glad that I did.

It kind of screams "Summer!"

This block. Oh, my. Initially I had selected a white background floral with green, orange, red, pink, and blue in it. That's what I was going to use for the four lattice pieces. And I'd picked a light blue for the small pies.

Wrong.

I then picked a different light blue.

Wrong again.

And now.

This block is definitely one of my favorites.

This block has kind of a patriotic-plus look about it. Or circus-y.

Whatever.

I like it.

Seven to go.

I have a beautiful piece of fabric set aside for the lattice between the blocks. I need to check to be sure it's big enough.

And then pick what I'll use for the cornerstones.

Getting there.

Love them all. The center block could be pumpkin pie.

Oh! Block one as pictured says "Picnic" (watermelon and strawberries) to me, the 2nd block says "Citrus"', and the last block says "July 4th". Summer perfection!!
In case you haven't heard, this area has had 6" of rain in May not including all that's fallen since midnight and it's still raining. Glub, glub.

Hugs!

I was going to say which block I liked best in this group. I went back to check them out and decided there is no way I can decide which I liked better than the others. Thanks for sharing.

It looks as though you are having almost as much fun choosing your fabrics as you are making the blocks :)
I'm still fascinated how the fabrics which came in the kit (and are definitely not your style) have influenced your other fabric choices in such a good way.
This will be the type of quilt that people keep looking at, to enjoy the fabric combos!
