Pick A Petal Progress (2)

Month Number Three for Pick a Petal brought a fiddly block with lots of inset seams plus curves. Oy. And there are twenty of them! Oh, my.

They are all cut. I mark them as I go. Some are done. More are not. And Month Number Four is prolly going to ship within a week (or, if I'm lucky, two).

Here's what's done so far. There may be one or two more. And that may be wishful thinking. I work on them for two hours every night. By hand. I'm getting better at piecing them. Pressing them flat remains a challenge.

What was I thinking?

I like your blocks...it would take me a month to do one!

You were thinking - like "The Little Engine that Could" - I think I can, I think I can and there are your pictured blocks to prove you could and can and did!!
What delightful and daunting blocks. My hat is off to you once again.
Hope y'all are enjoying cooler weather like we are. Last night's low was 59*F!

Hugs!

You were thinking about the possibility of another beautiful hand-pieced quilt … and in due time you shall accomplish that. As Dory would say, just keep stitching!

You are a bold and confident piecer! Your fabric combinations are wonderful. My role it to sit back and admire your progress.

Oh I like the colors in these blocks. I finished my Ordinary Time quilt top so now I can begin to plan fabrics for my Merricks quilt. I think the hand sewing on that quilt will help me build my confidence for hand piecing.
