Crazy Ann

Why, yes, I do still make quilts. I do still blog, too. I just haven't managed to blog about quilts lately.

Crazy Ann was finished this past week. Actually she was a flimsy for a month or so, and then early in February I took four quilts to the machinist to work her magic.

Crazy Ann isn't the recipient of this quilt. It's the  name of the block. And the blocks are made from those wonderful bright Allison Glass and a few other fabrics that I bought last spring at the Lancaster Show's Renegade Mall.

The recipient is my dear and darling granddaughter, Caroline, who turned ten (how can this be?) today. Her celebration is tomorrow night and I'll be delivering it to her then.

Your granddaughter is sure to love this eye-candy colorful Crazy Ann quilt you made just for her on the occasion of her 10th birthday! Double digits - I remember how thrilled I was to be 10!!

If you're delivering this quilt to VA, hope the intense winds don't blow you in the wrong direction. Goodness, it's noisy here and has been for more than 12 hours.

Hugs!

Happy birthday to Miss C! I'm sure she loves the quilt. Funny how memory works -- I remember when I first saw the Crazy Ann block. Early in my quilting career . . . hmmm, hold the thought. I think I can get a blogpost out of it. (Thanks for the inadvertent inspiration.)

I used these blocks in the border of the quilt that is the banner of my blog. Loved them then and love yours, too. Happy birthday to Caroline.
