Four and Five

I ran into a bit of a snag with this one. I had the four quadrants done and was ready to apply the lattice. Behold! I had cut the lattice strips at 6" instead of 6-1/2". I'd used the green that now appears in the center of the block and had another pink in mind for that piece. Turned out I didn't have enough of the green to recut the lattice at the correct size; I wanted to include it, so I made the center piece from it and chose a pink for the new, accurate lattice.

When I started putting this one together, I second-guessed myself on the fabric choices, wondering exactly what I had been thinking. I hung in there, completing the quadrants and hoping hoping hoping that when I applied the lattice and center square it would all work out. I think it did.

So, my blocks are one-fifth made.

20 percent is great progress! I really like the boho quality of the prints you're using.

I can tell that you are having a grand time choosing fabrics/piecing these.

Delightful blocks and am glad you could use that mis-cut green fabric as the block's cornerstone! Well done!

Hugs!
