PB&J

I wrote here about how it all started; that was when Peanut Butter was a completed flimsy.

Now she's been quilted and bound and I just love her.

This quilt is very relaxing to make. The pattern designer uses multiple colors (and they all go together beautiferously) for one of her versions; but I had a lot of blacks and whites left over from my black/gray/white pineapple quilt (I've just realized that I have no photo of that finished quilt) and decided on one color blocks and one color lattice. When she reached flimsy status, I began the next one and swore I was going to call it Jelly.

Now both Peanut Butter and Jelly have come home from the machinist and have been bound. And I love them equally.

If you want to start your own PB quilt, here's where to get the pattern.

And already I'm thinking about the next one. Greens. And perhaps Blues. With Pink Lattice? We'll see.

These are fabulous - I like your comment about them being relaxing to make. I think that is why I am working on the series of Macnas inspired quilts - they are relaxing in their predictability but so different depending on the fabrics. I love your idea to make more like PB&J in other colors!!!

"Beautiferously" is a splendid coinage, very apt for your versions of PB&J.

There is a lot to love about these two happy quilts above and beyond their colorful cornerstones! Just shows that quilts don't all need heaps of color to be glorious! Applause, applause!

Hugs!

I'm glad that you posted about these quilts again. I sort of forgot about them, now I need to put them in the front burner of quilts to make. Thanks for sharing all that you do.

I could just feel my shoulders drop when you said these were relaxing quilts to make. I like the quilts, I like the names, and I like the pops of color in the cornerstones. Call me crazy, but I'd rather see a black and white quilt than a red and white one. That may be heresy to say on a quilt blog, but I stand by it. ;)
