What I'm Up To
The bee I was in went strong for three years and then that was that. I didn't choose to join another bee yet.
Erica had a layer cake of beautiful fabrics and she was asking her bee mates to each choose two and to make her four small blocks, adding from stash.
Partway through the meeting she spontaneously asked me if I wanted to make some blocks for her. And I said I really did.
So here they are. What fun they were to do! I'll be eager to see Erica's finished quilt.
I'm still working on my orange peel blocks, with just one more to go; that's the report on Merricks Nth. The next assignment for that project is due in my in-box any day now.
As for Pick A Petal, the newest round arrived and by gum it's a doozy. The low volume log cabins that were such a delight to make last month are now to be assembled into two strips of two and two strips of four. Okay, that's fine. And then comes the applique. A bazillion minuscule templates were included along with designs for embroidery. Friends, it is too demanding to even contemplate at present. Oh, it will be magnificent when finished, but truly, Erica's pyramids are a life-saver at the moment.
