Meanwhile . . .

We knew before Joe went into the hospital for his heart surgery that our Lizzy would be too much for him to handle when he came home. Fortunately, Lizzy is comfortable with our daughter and her family, and when Sherry offered to keep her for as long as necessary, we were delighted.

Over these weeks, we've received Marco Polos in as series called "Latest on Lizzy" from both our daughter and her husband. They all seem to be having a wonderful time together and we wonder if  -- when she comes home -- Lizzy is going to find life with us, she's going to find life here unspeakably dull.

They's done things with our dog that we never would have thought of, as evidenced below:

What a very fun photo! Lizzy is one lucky dog to essentially have two loving homes.

What a charming photo of sweet Lizzy with her new friends and how magical is the fact that she's well loved while being away from home just now.

Hugs!

She is a bigger dog than I realized! And how lovely that she has a variety of places to be. We are the home away from home for our kids' beloved dog and we are so happy when she is here, but send pictures of her every day to the kids so they know she is safe. Hope your holiday season is going well.

That photo is so sweet! Maybe Lizzy can just go for play dates with her "temporary caregivers". I'll bet she is anxious to be back home!
