In Which Sharon Encounters Harry

Our favorite houseguest, Sharon, came to stay for four days this past Thursday. We'd spent time with her this summer but before that it had been several years because she now lives on the west coast. We spent much of our time together chatting, philosophizing, theologizing, and catching up.

And we also had some fine experiences. One evening we attended our dear granddaughter's middle school performance of "Freaky Friday," which was unfamiliar to all of us. Caroline was in the ensemble and also was one of the choreographers and we were all impressed with the quality of the production. Another evening we dined at our favorite Irish fish and chips place. We also watched a couple of Harry Potter movies. Which may seem like an odd choice, except that on Friday we went downtown to the Franklin Institute where we experienced the Harry Potter Immersion. It was a lot of fun and we learned some things, too.

Sharon's a Gryffindor, Himself a Ravenclaw and I am a Hufflepuff.

Ravenclaw and Gryffindor take a little break.

We met this wonderful family upon our arrival and they graciously agreed to a photo op.

We didn't know this lad either, but were glad he had his mischief managed.

He almost fit!

After all this time?
