21, 22

We're getting there. Twenty-one and twenty-two are kind of monochromatic. Some of the others are so busy and colorful, I thought my Boardwalk could use some blocks that are somewhat less exciting.

Twenty-one initially had a different green for the shoulders and it didn't work with the lattice pieces. I'm happy with how this one turned out.
Twenty-two is one of my favorite blocks. In reality it is more pinkish than it shows up here. But whatever.

I had a heckuva time getting into Blogger tonight. For some inexplicable reason it decided I might be an imposter (like who else is going to be putting up these Boardwalk blocks?). Eventually it worked out, but not before I said a few bad words.

Anyway, I'm closing in on my last blocks. You may recall that the total is twenty-five. And that means that with the next one, number twenty-three, I get to use one of my absolute favorite words. It's a six-syllable word, beginning with A, and I first learned it when I was studying Koine Greek in seminary. But it's not a Greek word.

Well, stay tuned. It shouldn't be long . . . .

You are doing a magnificent job with these - just keep stitching and that word will almost certainly be included in your next post!

I do believe I know what the word is! Are you going to set the blocks in numerical order?

That IS a great word and so hard to work into one's everyday conversation, so don't miss this chance!

Every time you debut a new Boardwalk square I think "oh this is my favorite" so I've given up that approach, but I DO like these two newbies. Distinctive but compatible feel.

What great blocks! I look forward to seeing all of the blocks up on the wall and what a wonderful satisfying accomplishment for you that will be. From fabric choices, to blocks, to a new quilt - all from your marvelous imagination!

Hugs!

I do love making 'wild colorful' blocks, but from your shared wisdom, I'm going to start putting in a few monochromatic blocks. That's a wonderful idea. I have a limited vocabulary, so I do hope that you use that word you mentioned.
I can't wait until the final showing. Thanks for sharing.
