How's It Going?

It's going great!

My plan to use the dreaded FQ Shop BOM project as a leader-ender while I make Tula Pink bitty blocks out of Rowan/Westminster fabrics, that is.

On the right you can see some of the approximately 4,260,329 lattice strips (well, perhaps not quite that many) that I'll need for that BOM. And on the left are the wonderful little blocks that I've made thus far. I'm pretty smitten with the little blocks. And they're making the other project tolerable. I'm working backward through the book, starting with block #100. So I have 88 yet to make. I wonder if I'll be done those lattices by then.

It's the only way to go!

I one time accused Bonnie Hunter of being the only person who could make me feel guilty if I wasn't actually piecing two quilts at one time by using her leader-ender method! She laughed. Now it has become my standard M.O.

Can't wait to see what you're creating with all those lattice strips.

Way to go!! You must have a wonderful stash of happy fabrics to make two quilts with these joy-joy colors. Wishing you well on the remaining 88 blocks and those millions of miles of lattice.

I've asked for the Tula Pink book for my birthday so am hopeful. :)

It is amazing how quickly they add up. I'm always surprised when I have to stop and cut more pieces for my leaders/Enders because I've used up all the cut ones already.

I too, am a Leaders/Enders fan! Quilts almost get made by themselves! (I wish.)

It seems that I pull the thread out of the machine needle if I don't run it into a small piece of fabric so L/E are a way of life for me. I detest rethreading my needle-wahhh, i can't see it and it's hard and I lose my flashlight....

Yeah, all that to say L/E are the only way to sew in LyndaLand.

I use leaders-and-enders most of the time, but often I get impatient and just crank out a pile of whatever unit it is.

Your colors for the Tula Pink project are great. What fun to work backwards in the book. I've got that quilt on my list of projects to sew! Am thinking of quilting each block and then joining them all with strips. I've done one quilt top as a leader ender, and it was so much fun to see the second quilt come together so quickly. That one is all basted, ready for me to find the thread I bought for it so it can be completed. Nice to see your projects!
