Burlington: Two

Friday morning we decided we couldn't handle the hotel breakfast, even though they had hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, packaged baked goods and assorted juices. All of us were thinking omelets and Sharon and Google found us a fine place that had a slightly Mexican attitude. My Carnitas omelet (think pulled pork! think avocado! think cheese!) was fantastic and there were more home fries than I could possibly eat. Everyone else was equally pleased with the fare.

And then we were off to Stowe where we saw the sights, shopped the shops, and generally did what there was to do.

And then it was time to eat again.

After lunch we drove up the hill to see the Von Trapp property and admire the view from there.

Our plan had been to drive back to Burlington and have a tour of Ben and Jerry's, but we were all tired and had major plans for our last night together, so we went "home" for a nice nap.

Sharon had the idea that we should do something extravagant, so she booked a sunset dinner cruise aboard the Ethan Allen III. We sailed on Lake Champlain for several hours, enjoying a delicious meal and an adult beverage or two. The sunset was perfect and it was a lovely conclusion to our little trip. The next day would bring our ride home and one little side trip . . . .

It’s all delightfully picturesque and, hopefully, was relaxing as well!

How interesting and that high water mark was astonishing. Beautiful pictures.

A perfect get-away to us ends by the sea! You, too?!

Hugs!
