It's My BloGIVErsary
How about that! I just notice that there is a GIVE right smack in the middle of Blogiversary -- isn't that nifty?
May 2, 2006 was my initial blog post. I tried it out as an experiment, having no idea of the world it was opening to me. At that time not yet knowing but a half dozen quilting bloggers. Never having heard of Chez. Or Mrs. Goodneedle. Or Karendianne. Or Jonco. Or so many more!
What a glorious ride it has been these three years! The quilting bloggers, the thinking and theological bloggers, the quilting/thinking bloggers -- all have
enriched my life so abundantly.
A bloGIVErsary calls, I think, for a GIVEaway.
Eight months ago I discovered a pattern for a terrific tote bag and I've made several as gifts since then. You can see the first one here. Like it? Want one? It won't be the same fabric; each bag is unique. Leave a comment on this post, and on Wednesday, I'll draw a the name of the winner. If you are a "no-reply" commenter, you must provide your email address so I can contact you.
'Kay. Enough for now. Gotta go start making YOUR bag!

And what a nice bag - I'll be more than happy to win that (as, I'm sure, will many others)
I don't know my blogaversary as I started the sewing blog, then the faith blog, which I had to abandon because it turned out that the name I chose was part of a bawdy limerick. ha. Then I messed starting the new blog, then finally got things settled. Oh well.
What would a BlogGIVErsary be without a word vfy: fornism. I think it's some sort of grammar rule.
Word Verification" - sesserm - surely the new word for opening anything.."open sesserm"
I would love to get one of your bags...it would make my day, week, month, etc., etc., etc.!
Whether I win or not, I love your blog and am really glad you started this adventure we call blogging!
Hugs

I love the idea of making bags to take to the grocery store etc. I always bring my own to the quilt shop when I go and she always enters my name in the drawing for something free at the end of the month....never won but heck, i'm still contributing to the environment.... I'd LOVE to win a homemade bag from Miss Nancily!!!

The link to that bag doesn't seem to work. I scrolled appr. 8 months back but couldn't find it. Now I'm curious and got to know: where's the bag pic??
