Callin' My Name

Oh, friends, would you look at this quilt!  This exclaimed by she who prefers not to make quilts from just one line of fabric.  That same she who is not about to buy new fabric for a new project until more of the WISPs and PIGS are under control.

This is so gorgeous.

I'm weakening.

Day after tomorrow is the start of a wonderful White Oak Quilting Getaway Weekend.

So I'm not doing anything about this kit right away.

We'll see where my will power is come Monday!

Thanks to all who wrote about my leg injury (and the other, less visible pain).  The knee is healing.

Slowly.

But healing.

Follow the yellow brick... I mean your heart! I'm working on two projects that don't have my heart and it's really hard. I feel HURT this time. Not very nice. I see that now. (not a drama story just using words)

Ah yes. We can now refer to you as "Nancy, a real sucker for that French General color pallette and classic quilt design". When I first saw this patten/kit I wondered how long it would take you to find it. It is stunning, and it is very very you.

Hoping to "enable" at WO.

Can you purchase the pattern and then devise your own combination of reds/whites/etc. to create a uniquely-you version of this beauty?

So sorry to hear about the multiple wounds . . . healing does take time and tender care from many hearts. Mine is definitely with you!

What a gorgeous quilt. I like the idea to mull it over for a day or two:)

no caps today, an all lower case comment, holding a precious baby boy in my left arm... it's a great quilt, i've been tempted by the same apple. i'm trying to be as strong as steel. glad you're better, prayers for healing continue.
Glad you're leg is healing. I have a feeling that if your leg fell right off, you'd still make it to your beloved White Oak thingy.
Have a great time.

I succumbed to the same temptation. I'm not usually one for kits, but this is so lovely. It's sitting on my sewing table, next in line. I can't wait to dig in. I made 2 other quilts using French General fabrics and gave them away for wedding gifts. Lovely, lovely fabrics. I'm keeping this one!

Okay, you did it. I'm googling "moda quiltkit" I sure hope it's too darn expensive and even more costly to have it sent to me. Then I can decline.
*sigh*
Glad to hear that you're healing!

That pattern certainly speaks to you when you see it. Hope your leg is healing nicely, and that you have a great time at White Oak Quilting Getaway weekend.

I have been drooling over this quilt ever since I saw it in an e-mail from a shop. I went to the website numerous times to look at it and then managed to put it out of mind. Until your post today. This time I may not resist.

Yes, it's beautiful. I just bought two Lumiere de Noel layer cakes and yardage to make a simple quilt I saw on the internet - the fabric is just gorgeous!

Hope you are feeling better o:)
