Girls

I mentioned in my previous post that I'd begun making little people for a swap. I'm now three-tenths finished and only two days into sewing. The girls in pink were the first ones I made, followed by the blue team. Then I felt confident enough to branch out. If you enlarge the photo, you'll see that the next group have lace trim going down the centers of their dresses and skimpy little lace sleeves -- they may be flower girls. Or ballerinas. Whatever.

I'm having so much fun! I sit chuckling to myself as these girls come together. Am thinking that I need a group wearing jeggings.

I'm no longer worried about meeting my deadline, which is the first week in September. More worrisome is whether I'll be able to stop!

I tried to tell you that, once you make a start, you can't help but make more and more of these, as you start to think....oh, that fabric would work, and what about leggings....or shorts??

Your little people are very, very cute - can't wait to see them in "person"!

Kind of like making your own clothes for your paper dolls. But then, maybe you never did that. I sure did. These are so cute. What a fun swap! Can't wait to see what else you "design" for these kids. : )

The little people are so darn cute...I went and visited the original post and the blocks laying out on the floor just immediately made me feel like the quilt was saying "hey we are all in this together let's just get on"...looking forward to seeing the rest of your little people community...have no idea what jeggings are, need a translator for that one...
