Hello, Gorgeous

And so three months after we lost Blackberry to a series of strokes,

Lizzy, 8 weeks, came to live with us yesterday afternoon.

She shares a birthday with our dear next-door neighbor.

She is about the size of a young rabbit.

Apparently, she is mostly bladder. We left Shamokin with her at 2:00. We stopped every 30 minutes to give her an opportunity. No go. Finally, at home, she produced an immense puddle. After dinner, she piddled again and yet again. Before bed at 10:30 another nice puddle. And then we heard nary a sound from her until 6:30 this morning.

She's very, very cute, extraordinarily affectionate, so far pretty mellow, intrigued by shadows, and sees herself as a lap dog.

Technical details: She's an English Springer Spaniel, called a blue roan (though she is all black and white), AKC registration, from a litter of 8 at the same kennel where we got Blackberry.

And we are, of course, smitten.

Congrats! She reminds me of our Heinz! He’s supposed to be a Wire Haired Griffon but we think he has some Springer in him.

Welcome home to cute little Lizzy! She is darling and couldn't be more lucky than to be chosen to live with you and your captain.

One true life lesson: no one can be sad in the presence of puppies.

Hugs!
