Now don't go expecting to see the quilt in February, friends. This is an intricate pattern for me, and it will take some time.
Which is a good thing because by and large, for the most part, I'm currently not interested in "quick quilts." I'm interested in projects that have detail and take time.
There were many great ideas submitted, and the winner is Di whom you can meet here, where she shows other shots of the quilt. Di wins a FQ or two -- so, Di, please send me your postal information as well as your preference among: Batik, William Morris or surprise for your FQs.
Di's FQs, Miriam's journal cover, and a couple of other things will be going to the post office at the end of this week along with my Advent Swap parcel.

You know I dig it!
PERFECT choice! Sounds like a great Spring retreat project.
Laugh for the day: I just saw a piece of "flair" on facebook that said "A fat quarter is NOT a body part!" That might be my new mantra.
oh maybe we could have a motivating challenge.........love the quilt......
That quilt will be great to work on. I, too, tend to like quilts that are a challenge. But, since I also like working on several things at once, I also like BOMs and quick quilts that go to other people. And, I like quilting so I have to get some tops done so there is something to quilt. LOL
Great! You get to go first, lol. I'm terrified of all those 1/2 square triangles. You will motivate me to overcome my fears, I'm sure.
Ocean Waves is a perfect choice. I am not into the quick quilt thing either. I think that is why I like a smaller block.
Ooh. That's going to be such a beautiful quilt! I've always loved the Ocean Waves pattern!
