Covid-19 Sewing (17) Just Got Laid

The director of the school for autistic children is a fabulous person. She is my boss, but she has that gift of making me feel like a colleague rather than a subordinate. She also has a small flock of hens who produce the very best eggs ever. She's been under a terrific strain, trying to support teachers who are trying to teach via Zoom as well as planning for reopening the school, whenever that is feasible. I wanted to do something for her, and what better idea than a chickens quilt?

Just too perfect . . . so many are working so hard to try to keep things together. Kudos for doing something that will make one person's day a whole lot better.

What a delightful quilt and it's sure to please your kindly boss who has chickens!

There were many pictorial quilts hanging in one of the elementary schools where we used to live because their librarian's mother was a quilter. It was a feast for the eyes and the imagination.

Applause, applause!

Hugs, too!

This makes me giggle. So cute. How do you do all those other projects you have been sharing and then suddenly share this fun, finished quilt of feathered friends? (Had to throw in some alliteration there.)

Please share the pattern with all of us. A fun quilt to make while quarantined. We have 5 chickens living up the street - sometimes one will cross the street and need a gentle nudge to walk home. Each one has a distinctive personality so this quilt would make a great gift for their mom.
